Art Above is a 3 Dimensional study of inspirational people living in Dublin today by the 3D light artist and inventor, Jon Mitton.
The subjects in the 3D portraits are from a wide and varied background; Music, Fashion, the Arts, Business, the Sciences, Politics, Sport and Medicine, each inspirations in their own right, each embodying the theme of optimism that underpins the show.
The purpose of Art Above is a simple one – to inspire and uplift in these sombre times, and remind us that we are all inspirations.
Seen through the medium of 3D lenticular photography each portrait seems alive, and the spirit of the person shines through.
We hope through experiencing Art Above you will remember to shine too.
Art Above is part of the Optimism Art Movement.

~ On the 4th February this year, I attended my very first Robotnik gig in Whelan's Dublin. Being an utter cynic I waited to see if the act my friends had described as 'magnetic' was actually so or just another mediocre band with equally as mediocre music. Lets just say my dubious expression turned to a grin and then to hypnotised as he jumped from the stage drowning his enthralled audience with his water gun.
Never have I been to a gig when I was so entertained and inspired by this kooky and yes magnetic personality, and after meeting him, a nicer guy you will not meet! Robotnik's music is inspiring, compelling & unique with heart felt lyrics. His new album, 'Pleasant Square', which I have no doubt you will be rushing to the store to buy once you have seen him live, is available now at all good music stores. Check out his myspace site for gig dates and more by clicking the link.

~ It has been my pleasure to work with a photographer such as Peter. Working alongside him has helped me develop my skills both as a make up artist and artist alike. Peter has taken pictures of me also which I intended to use for this site and I can just say from a person who is best 'behind the camera', he gave me images that I am very proud of.... Please take the time to roam through his site by clicking on the link.
